President's Message

With the May flowers, comes our last meeting of this year. Our new executive committee, lead by Keith O’Brien, will take over the reins at this meeting. We still have a few openings on the Executive committee. If you are thinking about this, give one of the committee members a call or email. I truly do not believe you will regret being a part of this great group. The time commitment is very manageable and the friends and networking will be worth it.

I have enjoyed my year as President. I have served on this committee for many years (and it’s definitely time to hand it over to someone else) first as VP of Communications and VP of Membership, before being President Elect. I have always found the members of the executive committee easy to work with, eager to work toward a common goal and a lot of fun. I joined the INDC in 1995 (Wow!) when I was the Coordinator at the Friend of Manito. Wherever my job took me, INDC was a part of that. I have learned so much about development at these meetings and in the conversations with other development officers. Many of those same people are ones I turn to now when I need information, help and support.

My goal this year was to build our membership back up to 100. We have come very close with 90+ members as of April. So bring a development friend to our May meeting. Show them what a great networking and educational group we are.

Remember to make use of the web site, www.indc.net, over the summer. Read what‘s new and upcoming in the development world, check out or list the employment opportunities, locate contacts for other organizations in town.

As we look towards our next year, please let us know what you want. This is your organization. We need your input on topics, speakers, locations, food, etc.  All input is brought to our executive meetings and discussed.

Thank you for being a part of this great group.

Kerry Wiltzius

INDC President
